Spring has Sprung!!!
This 60-degree weather we are now having here in the DMV has me officially ready for Spring. The last I checked Punxsutawney Phil predicted 6 more weeks of Winter but apparently Mother Nature (or Global Warming) didn’t give him the memo.
Either way, I am not complaining.

As soon as the warm weather starts to creep in it makes me think of Sunday Brunch dates, new beginnings & Spring wardrobe essentials. Enter this Daria striped, pleated dress from
I saw this and said this would be a great addition to my Spring wardrobe. Speaking of additions to my wardrobe. If you happen to live in the DMV area you should visit their brick and mortar store in Gambrills, MD. Beware though. There are so many cute dresses, skirts & accessories. Govern your credit cards accordingly. You've been warned.
This one dress has 3 style elements that I love right now.
When a garment has this many style elements it can either be a match made in heaven or devastation. There is a fine line.
When I first saw this dress on the Blush Boutique site I immediately knew how I wanted to style it. A black moto style ankle boot popped in my head with a moto jacket. I like the edgy leather accessories paired with the softness of the dress. If I had to put a visual to my style for 2017 this look explains it.
This dress can be styled differently & fit many occasions.
- Going to brunch? A bright pop of color would look great with this dress.
Like a handbag & sandals in mustard yellow or orange would have you ready for Spring.
- I can also see this with a classic khaki trench or a burgundy suede trench.
Drape it over your shoulders & wear a pair of navy or burgundy pumps for a night out on the town with your gals or BAE.
- In the Fall or before it gets too warm out, this dress could be layered over a turtleneck. Add some fun tights or fishnets with an ankle boot or a pump with a chunky heel.
The will give you a totally new look.
